pada dasarnya setting jalur akses / acces point pada android cukup mudah, karena google mobile ini memiliki fitur antar muka yang cukup bersahabat. kita contohkan saja dengan Samsung Galaxy Spica sudah menggunakan Android versi 2.1.
Berikut ini saya akan menginformasikan cara setting koneksi internet pada smartphone ini, mengingat koneksi internet menjadi hal yang cukup penting untuk melakukan sinkronisasi data contact, calendar, notes yang ada di smartphone ini dengan akun Google yang kita miliki.
Dalam contoh ini saya menggunakan paket internet unlimited 500Mb dari kartu 3 (Tri).
berikut langkahnya:
Pertama kita masuk ke menu Settings, dan pilih Wireless & networks. Dalam menu Wireless & networks kita memilih Mobile network (urutan paling bawah).
Pada bagian Mobile network ini kita membuat akses point baru melalui Access Point Names. Pada kondisi awal bagian ini kosong, karena kita belum membuat akses point apapun, untuk membuatnya klik tombol menu, kemudian pilih New APN.
Untuk Name bebas kita mau isi apa saja, yang penting adalah bagian APN, username, dan password (disesuaikan dengan kartu yang kita pakai). Di sini saya gunakan kartu 3 (Tri), jadi untuk APN, username, dan password saya isi dengan 3data. Jika kita menggunakan kartu Flash Unlimited, untuk APN diisi dengan internet, sedangkan username dan password dikosongkan (untuk kartu GSM lain bisa dilihat di parameter koneksi internet GSM). Untuk bagian lain dalam Edit Access Point tidak harus diisi (biasanya operator hanya menentukan APN, username, dan password saja). Jika sudah klik tombol menu dan simpan (Save).
Selanjutnya kita tinggal mengaktifkan APN yang telah kita buat tadi dengan mengklik APN yang baru saja kita buat tersebut (ditandai dengan tanda hijau di sebelah kanannya), dan kita sudah bisa online dengan Samsung Galaxy Spica kita

- Changing the SMSC number you want. Then, click Update.
